Friends of Highgate School

The Friends were founded to raise funds to pay for the education of pupils whose fathers were killed or rendered unable to work in the Second World War. When this need passed, The Friends continued to provide bursary support for families who, through bereavement or other unavoidable circumstances, found themselves unable to continue to fund their child’s education at Highgate.

Our current purposes are to:

• support the continuing education at Highgate of any pupil whose parents have died or whose family financial circumstances have deteriorated significantly and unexpectedly
• fund the education at Highgate of pupils whose parents could not afford the fees without financial support
• provide facilities and equipment to enrich the life of pupils at Highgate and to extend their opportunities
